Worship Volunteers
Many ministries contribute to making our worship glorious. We invite you to share your gifts in glorifying God!
Altar Flowers – Flowers are placed on the altar for the worship service. The only exception is the season of Lent when flowers are not used in worship. Those who wish to sponsor the flowers for one or more Sundays of the year are asked to sign the Flower Chart in the narthex and provide the information to our church office coordinator. Throughout the year, such as Christmas and Easter, there are opportunities for members to sponsor a flower in honor or memory of someone, and to the Glory of God.
Lay Eucharistic Minister/Chalice Bearer – assigned to read the Prayers of the People;
assist the priest during the distribution of Holy Communion by offering the chalice of wine to
communicants.
Lay Reader – reads the lessons for the service.
Greeters - The role of greeters is to stand at the door to welcome all who attend worship, offering a handshake, smile, and words of hospitality to all. Visitors are encouraged to sign the guest book and/or the visitor forms available in the pews, and greeters direct visitors to requested areas of the church.
Ushers - Responsibilities include the distribution of bulletins to all worshippers, assist with seating as need, to direct people to receive communion, and collect the offering.
