Mid-Week Bible Studies

Join us throughout the week for virtual Bible study and fellowship at St. James’ Episcopal Church. Our Bible study groups provide opportunities to deepen your understanding of Scripture, strengthen your relationship with God, and grow together in faith through meaningful discussion, prayer, and reflection.

Tuesday Evening Bible Studies

  • Mixed Adult Group | 6:00–7:00 PM: An inclusive Bible study featuring biblical teaching, small-group discussions, and faith-focused prayer.

  • Men’s Group | 7:00–8:00 PM: An opportunity for men to explore Scripture through in-depth study, Q&A sessions, fellowship, and conversations focused on spiritual growth, brotherhood, and accountability.

Both Tuesday groups are facilitated by Father Thomas.

Women of Wonder Bible Study | Wednesdays, 7:00–8:00 PM

Women are invited to gather virtually for Bible study, prayer, and fellowship. The group’s current study, Anxious: Fighting Anxiety with the Word of God by Scarlet Hiltibidal, explores how Scripture can guide us through anxiety and help us grow in faith and trust in God.

Come as you are. Bring your questions. Grow in faith.

To join one of the Bible Study please let us know staff@stjameshouston.org or call the church office (713) 526-9571 for the Zoom link.

Faith Beyond the Classroom

Spiritual growth happens in more than classes and Bible study. At St. James’, faith is also nurtured through fellowship, worship, service, special events, and opportunities to learn and grow together throughout the year.

Ways We Grow Together

  • Parish retreats and spiritual gatherings
  • Guest speakers and special programs
  • Service and outreach opportunities
  • Community celebrations and special events
  • Fellowship that builds meaningful relationships

These shared experiences help strengthen our faith, deepen our connections with one another, and encourage us to live out our faith in everyday life.
